While we were living in Lisabon for the winter of 2021-2022, I spent a couple of days in beautiful Nazaré. Once a sleepy fishing village, today, Nazaré is somewhat of a tourist hotspot, especially for surfers. I was there in February and though I have seen some decent-sized breaks along the North Shore of Oahu, those waves were dwarfed by a longshot compared to the against that rolled thunderously in to Nazaré.
