Here’s a tidy collection of images from the spectacular wedding ceremony, extravagant dinner reception, and cozy brunch in Les Sables d’Olonne, France for Charlotte and Victor on Saturday and Sunday, September 24/25, 2022.

This was the second time in 2022 that my wife Charlotte and I were invited to a grand wedding. On both occasions, it’s been for my cousin Per Starrsjö and his wife Sylvie’s two oldest adult children. While the previous wedding for Hugo and Christina took place in the always lovely Copenhagen, the ceremony pictured below was for the Starrjsö’s eldest daughter Charlotte and her fiancé – now husband – Victor.

The resoundingly beautiful, traditional Catholic ceremony took place in the church of Notre Dame de Bon Port in the center of town and the opulent and thoroughly enjoyable wedding dinner and Sunday brunch venue were at Domaine de l’Etablière, just outside of Les Sables d’Olonne, the picturesque seaside town along the Atlantic coast in the Bay of Biscay, France.

All of the photographs were shot on an “ancient” iPhone (2017 Xs). When color rendering was less than optimal, I chose to convert to monochrome.
