I’ve had the fortune to have visited Goa, India on several occasions, most of which have been work related. While the megacities of New Delhi and Mumbai are intensely interesting, it is the rural calmness of southern Goa that I’ve enjoyed most…so far.

The vibrant subcontinent’s culture is expressed in so many, many different ways. And while the towns and villages in southern Goa are by no means representative of all things Indian, I feel there is something quintessentially Indian to be experienced there. The locals are friendly, the food is terrific and the surfing is surprisingly good.
