GOTLAND & FÅRÖ
These two islands in the Baltic Sea have played and will forever continue to be an important part of my life. Neither of them were on my radar screen before I applied and was accepted to an art college on Gotland in 1990.

After just a few weeks living in a rented old stone house (which used to be a beer brewery) in the Medieval part of Visby, I fell in love with the ambiance and local, post-season vibe. I forged some long-lasting relationships during the five or so years I remained on the Gotland and in addition to painting, I also worked as a bartender and DJ in most of Visby’s classic entertainment venues from back then, including Donner’s Brunn, Burmeister, Munkkällaren, Änkan, and even Ryska Gården.

I have returned many times to Gotland, with my family and solo to visit friends and relive some of the amazing nature experiences there and on Fårö.
